First-Year student and family participants must attend a session that matches the college the student has been admitted to at UC Davis; there are no exceptions.* First-year students should register online through MyAdmissions as soon as the Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) has been submitted. Session dates fill quickly and space is limited, so students are encouraged to register themselves and any guests as soon as possible.
The deadline to register for First-Year Orientation is two weeks (14 days) before each session.
*NOTE: Newly admitted students wishing to change majors can only attend an Orientation session for the College they were admitted to. Students must wait until the winter quarter to submit a Change of Major request.
First-Year Orientation Sessions for 2019 are TBD
First-Year Orientation is not subsidized by student tuition, therefore there is a cost associated with each participant. The cost of attendance for students and each of their guests, covers all program materials, staffing, meals and refreshments and overnight accommodations (if applicable). Payment is not due at the time of online registration. Fees are charged to the student's university account. Please review the Policies and Fees page for all details.
