Welcome New Winter Admits!

Congratulations on your admittance to UC Davis. After you turn in your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) on MyAdmissions, please call Orientation (530) 752-4443 to schedule an advising appointment between January 6th and January 13th with a First-Year Experience Peer Adviser.

Meeting with a First-Year Experience Peer Adviser will provide you with important information needed to understand how to succeed at UC Davis.  The session will provide:

  • Academic guidance to make appropriate course choices for Winter Quarter registration and adjust course schedules
  • An overview of the General Education and major requirements
  • Assistance with connecting with critical campus resource information (as needed), including housing, financial aid, health insurance, etc
  • An overview of opportunities to get involved on campus

Note: The UC Davis campus will be closed November 24-25 and December 24-January 2. The campus reopens on January 3.

International Students: All international students coming to Davis with F-1 or J-1 visas are expected to attend the Orientation session provided by Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS). You can locate the date and time of the session in the Class Schedule and Registration Guide under "Instructional Startup Activities".
