Welcome to UC Davis Orientation!

This is the place where new Aggies start their college careers.

At Orientation, you will...

• Receive extensive academic advising
  and register for fall classes

• Learn about the academic environment
  and undergraduate research

• Meet other new students and make friends

• Explore ways to get involved in campus activities

• Meet UC Davis faculty, staff, and administrators

• Discuss important college issues for new students

• Learn about campus life from current UC Davis students

• Get your questions answered about coming to campus

All incoming students are expected to attend UC Davis Orientation. After you have submitted your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) on MyAdmissions, you will be able to sign yourself and your family up for orientation.

New Freshmen Students:

Freshmen Orientation is a 2 night, 3 day program. The actual dates of each session depends on your admitted college. Freshmen students must register for Orientation through MyAdmissions at least two weeks prior to the date they plan to attend. Sessions fill quickly so sign up early.

New Transfer Students:

Transfer Orientation is a full 1 day program. Transfer students must register for Orientation through MyAdmissions by the June 7th deadline. You will only be able to attend on the days that are open to your declared major — not all majors will be offered on all days. Sessions fill quickly so sign up early.

The dates for Transfer Orientation are June 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26.

If You Cannot Attend:

If you are unable to attend Orientation, you must visit MyAdmissions and look for the "Orientation" link on your admission checklist. Complete the "cannot attend form" to get your registration time. Then review the FAQ section for either transfer or freshmen for additional steps. After Orientation ends in late August, this site will be updated with additional information to assist you.
